***PLEASE COORDINATE THE INSPECTION WITH THE GM SO THE VEHICLE CAN BE PUSHED INTO A BAY FOR A GOOD LOOK AT THE UNDERSIDE*** THE GUEST HAD AN OIL CHANGE ON 10/3/2022. ON 10/7, THE GUEST REPORTED THAT THE VEHICLE STOPPED RUNNING. GUEST HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO STORE 43. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND HAS NUMEROUS LEAKS. UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHERE THE LEAK IS FROM. PLEASE CHECK FOR DTC'S PRESENT IN THE CPU. ALSO, CHECK FOR LEAKS ON THE ENGINE FROM THE FOLLOWING AREAS: DRAIN PLUG, FILTER, GASKETS ETC. IS THERE ANY BLOW BACK ON THE UNDERCARRIAGE/MOTOR? ARE THERE ANY SIGNS OF OIL CONSUMPTION IN THE MOTOR (I.E. SLUDGE OR BLACK SOOT IN TAIL PIPES?) ARE THERE ANY OBVIOUS SIGNS OF DAMAGE SUCH AS HOLE IN BLOCK? BROKEN OR WORN HOSES? IS THERE ANY INDICATION THAT THE FAILURE IS RELATED TO JIFFY LUBE SERVICE?

Failed Components and Extent of Damage
ENGINE CRANKS SLOW AND MAKES A DRY SCRAPING SOUND AS IF LOCKING UP. TECH DID NOT HAVE THE TOOLS TO ATTEMPT TO TURN ENGINE BY HAND. STARTER IS MAKING A GRINDING SOUND ALSO. BATTERY DEAD, NO CODE INFO. THE DIPSTICK TUBE IS SMASHED AND THE DIPSTICK WILL NOT GO FAR ENOUGH IN TO MEASURE OIL LEVEL AND WOULD NOT COME ALL THE WAY OUT. THE ENTIRE ENGINE UNDERBODY IS OIL SOAKED FROM LONG TERM LEAKS WITH GRIME BUILD UP AT THE OIL PAN, OIL DRAIN PLUG, HEAD GASKET AND VALVE COVER, MAY BE MORE ITEMS LEAKING. THE OIL PAN DRAIN PLUG IS AN AFTERMARKET UNIVERSAL PLUG THAT IS LEAKING TO A STEADY DRIP. NO LUBE STICKER OR TAMPER MARKS ON DRAIN PLUG OR FILTER
