C.S. TOW IN FROM COLLISION. SOME KIND OF NOISE. WHNE YOU DRIVE HEAR RUMBLING SOUND FROM BACK. LIFTED VEHICLE AND PUT IN GEAR IF YOU PUT HAND ON REAR DIFF YOU CAN FEEL THAT NOISE.

Failed Components and Extent of Damage
TECH RACKED VEHICLE AND HAD ANOTHER TECH IN THE CAR WHILE IN THE AIR. TECH STARTED VEHICLE AND PUT IT INTO DRIVE. INSPECTOR CAN HEAR A ROARING NOISE FROM THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL THAT IS QUITE LOUD. TECH STOPPED VEHICLE AND INSPECTOR NOTED THAT NEITHER OF THE REAR CV AXLES ARE LOOSE AT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL OR AT THE WHEELS.
INSPECTOR ASKED TECH WHY THEY ARE AKSING FOR THE WHEEL BEARINGS AND AXLES, IF THERE IS NO OBVIIOUS FAILURES TO EITHER. TECH STATED THAT THEY WOULD RATHER REPLACE ALL OF THESE PARTS SO AS TO NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE RETURN LATER WITH NOISES OR FAILURES TO THESE ITEMS.
INSPECTOR CANNOT HEAR ANY OTHER NOISES FROM THE VEHICLE WHILE RUNNING ON STALL DUE TO THE LOUDNESS OF THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL.
INSPECTOR ASKED TECH TO TAKE A SMALL SAMPLE OF FLUID FROM THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. TECH DRAINED SOME FLUID AND INSPECTOR NOTED THAT THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF METALLIC "GLITTER" OR DEBRIS IN THE FLUID, INDICATING IT HAS BEEN DRIVEN LIKE THIS FOR AT LEAST A SHORT TIME.
INSPECTOR ALSO NOTED THAT THERE ARE NO FLAT SPOTS OR SIGNS OF THE REAR TIRES SLIDING EXCESSIVELY.
INSPECTOR ALSO NOTED THAT THERE IS NO OBVOIUS SIGNS OF IMPACT OR COLLISION DAMAGE TO THE UNDERCARRAIGE OR THE REAR SUSPENSON, NOR ARE THERE ANY SIGNS OF SHORT OR LONG TERM LEAKS AT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL.
NO OTHER FAILURES SEEN OR DEMONSTRATED
INTERNAL FAILURE OF THE REAR DIFFERENTAIL. THE METAL IN THE FLUID INDICATES THAT THIS IS NOT A SUDDEN FAILURE
NO FAILURES SEEN OR DEMONSTRATED TO THE REAR AXLES OR THE REAR WHEELS BEARINGS AT THIS TIME. FAILURE CONSISTENT WITH TIME AND MILES, NO EVIDENCE OF DAMAGE FROM IMPACT
