THERE ARE NO WARNING LAMPS ILLUMINATED OR WARNING MESSAGES DISPLAYED WITHIN THE CLUSTER AND THE TECHNICIAN HAS CLEARED ALL FAULT CODES PRIOR TO MY ARRIVAL AND HAD PROVIDED A FAULT CODE LOG OF P1707:77 = TRANSFER CASE NEUTRAL OR PARK/NEUTRAL INDICATION CIRCUIT COMMANDED POSITION NOT REACHABLE. THE FLOW CHART READS ENSURE THE EMERGENCY PARK RELEASE HAS NOT BEEN PULLED AND IS NOT STICKING, CLEAR THE DTC AND TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE, ENGAGING AND DISENGAGING THE PARK LOCK SEVERAL TIMES, IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS RENEW THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AS REQUIRED. THE SYSTEM FAULT IS CONSIDERED TO BE INTERMITTENT, WHEN OPERATING THE PARK LOCK THE CLUSTER READS PARK WHEN COMMANDED AND WHEN RELEASED TURNS OFF. THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF LIQUIDS SPILLED ONTO THE PANEL SWITCH OR CLEANING AGENTS APPLIED.
THE CONDITION COULD NOT BE DUPLICATIOND OR DEMONSTRATED A FAILURE TO THE PARK LOCK SYSTEM AND IS CONSIDERED TO BE AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION

CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE PARK LOCK SYSTEM FOR FAILURES, DOCUMENT ANY FAULT CODES AND SYSTEM STATUS ALONG WITH TEST RESULTS IF NECESSARY - IF THE CONDITION CONTINUES TO PERSIST REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AS OUTLINE WITHIN THE FLOW CHART PROCEDURE
