RF HAS DONE A WATER NECK AND MAYBE A VALVE COVER GASKET? ADVISER WAS CLUELESS, NO IDEA. WATER NECK IS NEW FOR SURE.

COOLANT LEAKING AT THE HOSE FROM THE WATER NECK TO THE OVERFLOW BOTTLE AT THE WATER NECK CONNECTION. CURRENT, TODAY.
CODE FOR UNDERBOOST AND AIR FLOW ISSUES
P0299- UNDERBOOST
P1101- AIR INTAKE SYSTEM FLOW PERFORMANCE.
THE P1101 SHOULD BE ADDRESSED 1ST UNLESS THERE IS OBVIOUS TURBO ISSUES TO CONDEMN. THERE IS A TSB RELATED TO THE P1101 CODE FOR PCV SYSTEM ISSUES. I PUT MY MOUTH ON THE CHECK VALVE TO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND BLEW AND SUCKED INTO IT CONFIRMING CHECK VALVE IS FAILED. NO EXPLANATION OF WHERE IT GOES OR WHY IT GETS GONE BUT IT IS GONE. WHEN WE RAN THE ENGINE VACUUM WAS COMING THROUGH THE THE PCV DIAPHRAGM EXTERNALLY AND IT SHOULD NOT BE. THE DIAPHRAGM IN THE VALVE COVER IS FAILED AND THE CHECK VALVE IN THE FRESH AIR INLET HOSE FROM THE INTAKE TUBE TO THE MANIFOLD IS FLOWING BOTH DIRECTIONS. SHOULD ONLY ALLOW FRESH AIR IN, NO CRANKCASE AIR OUT. THIS SET OF ISSUES CAN CAUSE AND DOES OFTEN CAUSE A P0299.
CHECKED THE WASTEGATE ARM AND ACTUATOR CONNECTION. HAS A NORMAL AMOUNT OF PLAY, NOT EXCESSIVE TODAY, NO NOISE FROM THE TURBO AND IT IS FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY TODAY ON TEST DRIVE.
19-NA-101 TSB PRINTED MATERIAL CATALOGING THE PCV ISSUE. THIS TSB IS ONLY ABOUT THE CHECK VALVE IN THE INTAKE. IT HAS BEEN REVISED TO CHECK THE VALVE COVER AND THE FRESH AIR PIPE AS WELL. NO PROBLEM FOUND WITH THE TURBO TODAY. WATER NECK IS REPLACED BUT STILL LEAKS AT THE OVERFLOW HOSE CONNECTION AT THE WATER NECK.
Recommendations for Repair
REPLACE OVERFLOW TANK HOSE TO THE WATER NECK. REPLACE VALVE COVER, REPLACE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND REPLACE PCV FRESH AIR INLET TUBE. RECHECK THE TURBO AFTER THE PCV SYSTEM IS ISSUES ARE RECTIFIED.
